Glenda came to work for Dargan Construction in December 2000. She had previously worked for Dargan’s owners since 1982 at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Inn, later renamed the Myrtle Beach Martinique Resort and served as General Manager there from 1995 until 2000.
When the owners sold the Martinique in 2000, Glenda was offered a position with the construction company. She is responsible for handling all payroll and benefits related activities such as Group Health Care Plan, 401(k) Plan, FSA account and supplemental insurance plans.
Glenda has served on the Board of Directors of the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors of Myrtle Beach Golf Holiday, Chairman of the Myrtle Beach Visitors Bureau, and as a guest speaker at the SC Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Glenda achieved the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) distinction by the American Hotel/Motel Association.
